Sri Krishnam
Spanning languages and regional tales, experience the multitude of the elusive, mischievous, romantic, warrior Lord. From the small boy to the supreme– Krishna resonates in many forms,
Original choreographic work alongside those of great Gurus shared with me.
Solo | Multi-piece format | 45 - 60 minutes
margam
"Path" or Margam is the traditional course of items or pieces that form a Bharatanatyam Recital.
Legendary dancer T.S.Balasaraswati said this order– “alarippu, jatiswaram, shabdam, varnam, padam, tillana and shloka or verse, is the correct sequence for revealing the spiritual through the corporeal.”
Can be thematically curated as well, for instance works of Thyagaraja and Shiva Parivaram.
Solo | Multi-piece format | 60 - 90 minutes
Ullam
"Heart" is an upcoming work. It explores a cast of characters moving through frenzy and stillness using very personal stories and aims to begin a necessary conversation through non-traditional movement styles, music, and spoken word poetry.
Solo/Duet | Single piece | 20 - 30 minutes
An excerpt of this was premiered at IAWW Dhoom 2019
